Railroad Workers Memorial
On the banks of the White River in Cotter, Arkansas, long famous for its excellent trout fishing, one of the most remarkable sites in the Ozarks has been dedicated.
The Anglin-Tinnon Railroad Workers Memorial was built to honor Cotter’s railroad history and the workers who lived it.
The memorial, built by the Cotter Care Crews, is located in Cotter’s Big Spring Park. It was dedicated on May 2, 2003, just prior to the opening of Cotter’s second annual Great Cotter Trout Festival. The Cotter Care Crews also have a display of railroad memorabilia in the Baxter County Heritage Museum in Gassville.
